Synopsis: During a battle with Cicada, Nora is severely injured; due to Cicada’s dampening powers, Nora’s speed healing isn’t working; Barry and Iris are scared for their daughter’s future; an enraged Flash confronts Cicada in a brutal battle.

Review: Cicada makes a return and gets a little help from Central City PD.

The Story

When Cicada is given a list of known Meta-Human criminals that are out on the streets. He makes a return and starts to hunt them down in the order that they appear on the list. Team Flash intervenes and in so during Nora gets seriously injured, which makes Barry so angry that he becomes near obsessed with ending Cicada, but the protection of the Meta-Humans has to take priority.

Meanwhile, Sherloque Wells is continuing his investigation into Nora and gets warned off by Iris.

Elsewhere, Caitlin is working on some sort of formula to help Cisco find a cure for Meta-Humans, but she is meeting with some pretty strong resistance from her alter ego Killer Frost.

The Acting

Danielle Panabaker steals the show for me this week. The storyline concerning Killer Frost objecting to Caitlin’s involvement in Cisco’s cure was a nicely worked subplot and the scene where Frost explains her concerns to Ralph Dibney was well performed from both actors.

There was a lot of good stuff in this episode, which included a nice little redemption story for Norvock as well as some really strong fight choreography combined with some well-worked CGI. I loved the effect used when Frost blocks Cicada from being able to retrieve his Dark Matter lightning bolt knife, which he uses to channel his powers.

I’ve also been enjoying Sherloque Wells investigation into Nora and will be interested to find out where the latest revelation concerning her will lead when he eventually gets around to revealing his findings to the rest of the team.
