Synopsis: In ‘Cornered’ Hunter and the group have to put down on a nearby planet for supplies and are spotted by a Bounty Hunter.

The Story

When Hunter and the group have to put down on a nearby planet for supplies. They are spotted by Bounty Hunter Fennec Shand who has a deal with the depot manager. Hunter decides to go off with Echo and Omega to restock. But due to an increased imperial presence. They have to improvise.  As ever Omega is fascinated with all that this new world has to offer. So, she wanders off and suddenly finds herself cornered by Fennec Shand who is looking to make some serious coin.

The begin with Shand acts real friendly with Omega, but pretty soon it gets nasty once Hunter catches up with them.

Voice Acting

Ming-Na Wen makes a welcome return as Fennec Shand and initially plays nice when she meets Omega (Michelle Ang) until it’s time not to be nice. The scene where Shand makes nice with Omega and makes out that she is helping her was nicely timed. Michelle Ang continues to do a great job of channelling Omega’s excitement at being off her own world. A trope that is likely to repeat a few times until the kid becomes more seasoned.

Dee Bradley Baker continues to do great work voicing all of the Bad Batch and also continues to not miss a beat as he switches between the different voices.

Overall

A solid episode, but I think we’re needing for something really bad to happen to Omega so she will wisen up. At present, she is wandering off a bit too much. My guess is that Dave Feloni has a master plan for her. And will likely shape her in a similar way to how he wrote  Ahsoka Tano.

Overall. ‘Cornered’ does what it says on the tin. Puts Omega in a tight corner.
