Synopsis: In the second part of Crisis on Infinite Earths, An endless army of shadow demons seeks to destroy all realities. What mysterious force drives them; and so Monitor and Supergirl’s secrets threaten to crush the heroes’ last defense?

The Story

While Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the heroes from the various Earths work to try and save as many Earths as they can. They soon find themselves facing the threat of the mysterious Shadow Demons.

Meanwhile, Mar Novu The Monitor has rescued Supergirl from Krypton and has recruited her to try and help the other heroes in their mission. Additionally, he has also recruited Charles Halstead aka The Psycho Pirate for his empathic abilities. The Monitor’s plan is to supercharge Psycho Pirate’s empathic gifts in order for them to spread a sense of confidence and calm across the multiple earths, but he doesn’t count on Psycho Pirate meeting up with the Anti Monitor.

The Voice Acting

All the cast members mentioned in my previous review once again bring their best game to the table. However, this movie adds a few new characters into the fold. The biggest of which is Psycho Pirate who has a massive role in this film and is voiced brilliantly by Geoffrey Arend. I loved the scenes early on in the film where Charles Halstead also known as Psycho Pirate gave us his origin story. The resentful tone in Arends voice when telling the story really sells it to you.

Overall

Much like the first film. This all felt a little bit discombobulated as you are dealing with several storylines running parallel to each other. So you will probably have to re-watch to get a better sense of what is what. However, the cliffhanger at the end while expected still manages to be somewhat jarring.

It will be interesting to see how it all gets resolved when the third part is released.
