Synopsis: While Fitz and Enoch try their luck at the casino, Daisy and Simmons find themselves in a much more exciting situation.
Review: Daisy and Simmons get a step closer to finding Fitz and Enoch.
The Story
While heading to a nearby planet to get provisions Fitz and Enoch are hijacked and left with nothing but a poker chip on a nearby planet called Kitson. While there the odd pairing of Fitz and Enoch try to use the chip to make some credits in order to help them get back to our solar system.
Meanwhile, Daisy and Simmons have gotten a step closer to finding their friends, but first, have to deal with a hunter who is out to kill Fitz and Enoch because they have made changes to the universe.
The Acting
Iain De Caestecker and Joel Stoffer are absolutely brilliant in this episode. I loved watching them both as they had mixed fortunes on the planet. One of my favorite moments is when Enoch suggests that they should maybe consider working at a brothel.
Also really good are Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet who are initially at odds at the start of the episode given that Daisy was not impressed with Simmons disobeying her orders. The two wind up having some hilarious scenes together. The best being a bar scene where they are both extremely intoxicated.
Overall
This has to be one of the strangest episodes of Agents Of Shield we have seen in recent years. The episode has a fair mix of drama, action, and comedy and the acting performances are all fairly consistent.
I loved the bar scenes with Simmons and Daisy and the moment where Daisy is narrating about everything feeling weird and everyone smelling like cheese was pretty funny. The high stakes gambling game involving Fitz is filled with tension and fun to watch.
Overall. A pretty average episode, which ultimately serves its purpose.
