We recently received an exciting news update from Jeff Probst about some new developments at Hidden Path. Lately the teams at Hidden Path have been working on a Dungeons and Dragons style game for PC and Games Consoles, but have also found time to develop a new Metroidvania/Castlevania style game for VR Head Sets called Witchblood.
Below is the press release that Jeff sent along with further details on Witchblood as well as updates for Racoon Lagoon and Brass Tactics.
Witchblood
First up, we are announcing today that as of next week – July 18th – our Metroidvania-inspired game Witchblood will be coming to the Quest 2 / 3 / Pro natively and will feature Mixed Reality play as well. You can pre-order Witchblood here or see the trailer on YouTube here.
In this stunning, mixed-reality adventure inspired by Metroid® and Castlevania®, explore an intricate diorama brimming with hidden treasures, challenging puzzles, formidable foes, and powerful magic.
After your father is slain by a zealous madman, you uncover ancestral magic abilities. Master these newfound powers and take on the oppressive cult dominating your town. Face the murderer of your father to reveal the mysteries of your origin and the power of your birthright.
With 6+ hours of exploration and combat, hundreds of rooms, 40 upgrades, and 4 difficulty levels to master, Witchblood transforms classic gaming with VR.

A still shot of the graveyard stage of Witchblood.
Raccoon Lagoon
Next up. For those of you who have been either playing Raccoon Lagoon, or have been curious about it, we’re excited to announce that we’ve done a lot of work over the last few months and have a high-polish update planned for next month that should make the game and its features, better, faster, smoother, easier to move around (yes, teleport!), and overall provide a more enjoyable experience as the game hits its fifth year anniversary. Multiplayer play gets a big technology change under the hood and will be a much better experience too – so inviting people to your island should be very smooth. More details will come, but next month, existing and new Raccoon Lagoon players on the Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest pro will get the exciting Raccooniversary Update:

We’re still working with Meta to lock down the exact ship date for the Raccooniversary, but we’ll keep you posted.
Brass Tactics
Finally, we also get asked fairly often about one of our past VR games: Brass Tactics and if it is possibly coming to the Quest platforms. At this time, the Quest platforms still aren’t quite powerful enough as stand-alone headsets to run Brass Tactics as it shipped on the PC, so that idea may have to wait for a generation or so, but we still think about it, and we’ll see what the future brings.
If you are a fan of these games then be sure to check in from time to time with Hidden Paths website where you can learn more about their team and the great work they do.
