Fox is moving forward with plans for a supernatural mystery series, which will feature ‘Sherlock Holmes’ creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and iconic escapologist Harry Houdini as its main characters. The series is inspired by the true life friendship between the two iconic men.

The series being made for UK, Canadian and American audiences and will likely premier on ITV here in the UK once it is ready.

Titled ‘Houdini And Doyle,’ the drama — which will go straight to series — hails from ‘The Librarian’ franchise creator David Titcher, ‘House’ creator David Shore and ‘House’ writer-producer David Hoselton. Canada’s Shaftesbury and the UK’s Big Talk co-produce, with Sony TV, where Shore is under an overall deal, distributing worldwide.
