Its been a few years since we’ve seen a ‘Tarzan’ feature film and the ‘Legend Of Tarzan’, which is due out in July of next year looks to be pretty promising if these early stills are anything to go by.
The new film, which is shot on location in Africa will see ‘True Blood’ star Alexander Skarsgard don the loincloth for this modern interpretation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs story, which this time out is to be directed by David Yates.
As you can see in the featured image above the film looks at the early stages of Tarzan’s romance with Jane (Margot Robbie) who tries to teach Tarzan about the civilized world.

David Yates who is best known for having directed the ‘Harry Potter’ movies said in interview that he was exciting to not only direct a ‘Tarzan’ movie, but also to be filming on location in Africa.
“It was a way to return moviegoers to a wondrous Africa in a properly romantic way… they haven’t been there for an awfully long time,” he told USA Today.
Christoph Waltz and Samuel L Jackson also star in the film, which will be released in the US on July 1, 2016, and has a UK date of July 8.
