Hulu Developing New ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy’ Series
Douglas Adams’ comedy sci-fi classic The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is headed to American television. Deadline has learned that Hulu is developing a TV series adaptation of the novels from prolific showrunner Carlton Cuse (Lost, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Locke & Key) and feature writer Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman, Ice Age: Continental Drift).
Legendary ‘Blade Runner’ Star Rutger Hauer Passes
Sadly, Rutger Hauer, the versatile Dutch leading man of the ’70s who went on star in the 1982 Blade Runner as Roy Batty, died July 19 at his home in the Netherlands after a short illness. He was 75.
His most cherished performance came in a film that was a resounding flop on its original release. In 1982, he portrayed the murderous yet soulful Roy Batty, leader of a gang of outlaw replicants, opposite Harrison Ford in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi noir opus “Blade Runner.” All of us at scifipulse.net are deeply saddened by this news.

HBO Respond To ‘Game of Thrones’ Fan Petition
Back in the Spring the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ finished the epic story. But over a million of the show’s fans were very unhappy with the ending and petitioned HBO to reshoot the final season. This petition has gotten a response from HBO President Casey Bloys addressed the fan criticisms at the recent Television Critics Summer Press Tour.
