‘Elysium’ actor Diego Luna is the latest to get cast in the forthcoming ‘Star Wars’ spin-off movie ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’.
He joins Felicity Jones on the movie, which is to be directed by Gareth Edwards.
The central plot of the movie focuses on a team of Rebels attempting to sabotage the Empires Death Star during its construction. It has been revealed that the film will be set during the period between ‘Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith’ and ‘A New Hope’. Which has me wondering if we’ll likely see any lead in towards this film on the animated series ‘Star Wars: Rebels’, which has done a grand job of exploring the early days of the Rebel Alliance.
Lucasfilm declined to offer any comment on a Variety report claiming that Luna will have a lead role as a rebel fighter opposite Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed.
