Marvel studios have announced that Elodie Yung will play Elektra in the second season of the hit Netflix ‘Daredevil’ series.
Yung is best known for her appearance in ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ as Jinx. So she definitely meets the requirements for Elektra.
Elektra was referenced in the show’s first season, as Matt told Foggy things “didn’t work out” with a certain Greek girl.
Elektra made her first appearance in the ‘Daredevil’ movie where she was played by Jennifer Garner, who reprised the role for the poorly received Elektra movie.
Yung’s casting marks the latest major Marvel character to be introduced in ‘Daredevil’s’ second season, as Jon Bernthal was previously cast as Frank Castle, the Punisher.
Season 2 of ‘Daredevil’ will hit Netflix in 2016.
