EASTON, PA — Illustrator Joe Swarctz and writer Ralph Greco, Jr. have released another in their Echo City Capers children’s book line. The new book, “Echo City Capers, Issues 1-6,” is a compilation of the six original Echo City Capers’ books, bound together in one 100+ page illustrated volume for ages 7 and up.
Greco and Swarctz became fast friends when they met in high school, back before electricity was invented, played in bands together, and actually began working on Echo City Capers, in a different incarnation, off of Swarctz’s original creation of the world and its characters.
Although the pair lost touch for just about three decades, since reconnecting just a little over five years ago, the slightly-dynamic duo managed to revise the brand, again off of Swarctz’s work from the past thirty years, to produce 15 books under the Echo City Capers imprint.
“Echo City Capers, Issues 1-6” represents the beginning of that output, stand-alone chapters influenced by classic Warner Brothers cartoons, Buster Keaton, and the 66’ Batman series, featuring bumbling baddies and loveable but often clueless hero, Nigthbat.
The Echo City Capers series has enjoyed attention across the globe; Ralph & Joe present live sing-along/draw-along visits to fairs, comic-cons, bookstores, elementary schools, and each seasonal with The Crayola Experience.
