Paul Cornell, who wrote the fantastic ‘Doctor Who’ episodes ‘Human Nature’ and ‘The Family Of Blood’ is gearing up to write the four doctors comic book event for Titan Comics.
Cornell will work on the weekly series with artist Neil Edwards.
Titan’s three ongoing ‘Doctor Who’ series will go on hiatus for the storyline before relaunching after what is promised to be a “blistering finale”.
Although the publisher has only mentioned the three doctors by name. The promotional cover art for the weekly series features a whited-out silhouette of what is presumably a fourth doctor.
After acquiring the Doctor Who comics license from IDW, Titan launched a series of titles from top talent including Nick Abadzis, Robbie Morrison, Al Ewing, Rob Williams, Simon Fraser and more.
As well as having works on ‘Doctor Who’ in both television, novels and comics. Paul Cornell has also written for both Marvel and DC Comics. Prior to DC Comics relaunch with 52 Cornell did a fantastic story-line featuring Lex Luther as the star in ‘Action Comics’. In the Marvel Comics Universe Cornell made quite a splash in 2008 and 2009 while writing the fantastic Captain Britain MI13 comic.
The first issue of Doctor Who: Four Doctors will be released on August 12, ahead of Doctor Who Comics Day on Saturday August 15.
