Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy was a grand adventure!

The animated series was loads of fun and quite entertaining.

Disney’s most recent animated Marvel series, The Guardians of the Galaxy, debuted on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on the Disney XD Channel and in truth the animated series was loads of fun and quite entertaining.

The animated GOTG series also did a pretty good job of sticking to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of James Gunn’s Guardians and even had a number of songs from the movie’s Awesome Mix Vol. 1, which was a great surprise from a continuality perspective.

With that said however, the film’s director has gone on the record and stated that this animated series is not going to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will likewise not be connected to the original film or its upcoming sequel.

But the series did seem to have a great feel for the character traits and mannerisms established in Gunn’s blockbuster movie and even featured three characters of importance from the movie which were; Thanos, Yondu and Korath the Pursuer.

Much like the movie however and without giving too much away, Starlord steals an object of great power, which only Peter Quil can access and is pursued by Thanos, his lacky Korath and is of course sold out by Yondu more than once.

This series has a very cool animated style and will hopefully stay just as fun moving forward.
