Entertainment Weekly got scoop on the new Firestorm…

Excited about the new Firestorm coming to Legends of Tomorrow. Is there anything you can tease? — David
Sure, they’re a functional team now, but once Stein and Jax are working together full-time, some of their idiosyncrasies will be thrown into sharp relief. “The idea of a second Firestorm being somebody who was just in his early 20s, somebody who was radically different from this Firestorm, so here you got to see the camaraderie, and when you see Legends, you’re going to see a lot more of the, ‘What the hell are you talking about? Why are we doing this?’ while they’re merged,” EP Andrew Kreisberg teases. “There’s a lot more room for comedy with the Firestorm character than we previously had before. It’s a freshness and an excitement.”

According to USA Today, BD Wong has been cast in the recurring role of Hugo Strange, a brilliant professor and psychiatrist tapped to head up Gotham City’s notorious Arkham Asylum. He’s hired to help the city’s criminally insane, but Strange has a nefarious streak as well: The professor is also conducting experiments on inmates and testing extraordinary abilities in order to create superhuman folks for Indian Hill.

In addition, Zap2it reported that Kristen Hager has been cast to play Mr. Freeze’s (Nathan Darrow) terminally ill wife, Nora Fries.

FOX tells Zap2it, “Thanks to her smarts, sincerity and a lighthearted sensibility, she’s the only person who’s managed to connect with the otherwise emotionally cold cryogenicist.”

A description of the character also gives insight into what drives Victor to become the famous comic book supervillain. “As her condition worsens and her husband becomes more desperate to save her life, Nora must make the ultimate choice: play the willing participant in Victor’s mad plan or sacrifice herself to stop the monster inside of him,” it reads.

Finally, TVLine reported Tommy Flanagan will guest-star in Episode 10 as The Knife, one of the city’s most dangerous denizens. The Knife is described as having a charming, stylish shell and good humor, but underneath it, he’s a remorseless hitman whose skills are at the service of the highest bidder.  He will sit with you, laugh with you — and then cut your throat.

Comic Book Resources reported that Amazon Prime Instant Video has struck a deal to stream Fox’s Lucifer to the UK shortly after episodes air in the United States. As part of the announcement, the company has debuted a trailer featuring all-new footage from the supernatural drama, which is loosely based on the Vertigo comic of the same name.

The Wrap reported that Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is in ongoing negotiations to play a high-ranking Amazonian warrior alongside Gal Gadot in WB’s Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman will be introduced in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before her solo movie hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
