In this edition of DC Round-Up, there are character descriptions for the new CW spin-off, iZombie opening credits, more Lucifer casting, and a rumored name for Suicide Squad.

TVLine has descriptions for three “mystery” characters set to join The Atom and Friends in the untitled Arrow/The Flash spinoff…

“THE TRAVELER” | Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances…

“FEMALE WARRIOR” |This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others…

“MYSTERY HERO” |An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.

When iZombie comes to television next week in the US, the series will feature an opening titles sequence utilizing the art of Michael Allred, the Madman creator and Silver Surfer artist responsible for the art on Vertigo’s iZombie, the series on which the show is based. The CW has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive look at the titles.

According to TVLine, Lucifer has a leading lady. Chicago Fire‘s Lauren German will play a homicide detective entranced (and disgusted) by the Dark Prince in Fox’s DC Comics drama pilot. In the potential series, German’s Chloe Dancer works for the Los Angeles Police Department and teams up with Lucifer (played by Rush‘s Tom Ellis), who has abandoned Hell and chosen to help L.A.’s finest apprehend and punish criminals. Their partnership causes the Lord of the Underworld to wonder at Chloe’s inherent goodness, which in turn causes him to think humanity might not be so bad after all.

According to Cinema Blend, Arrow’s Deathstroke is about to get a big screen counterpart…

A source close to the production tells us that Magic Mike co-star Joe Manganiello has all but locked up the part of Deathstroke in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. The deal isn’t done yet. Jason Clarke is reportedly still in play, but our source says it is an almost certainty that Manganiello has the role. The idea first floated by us back in December, when numerous names were in the mix for the various roles in Ayer’s super-villain screenplay. Since then, the three main actors associated with the project have been Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto, cast as as Deadshot, Harley Quinn and The Joker, respectively. But Deathstroke has remained an uncast mystery… until now.

Raissa Devereux became a life-long genre fan at the age of four when she first saw The Wizard of Oz at a screening at Arizona State University. Years later, she graduated from A.S.U. as an English major, History minor, Whovian, and Trekkie. Now a Florida transplant, she loves the opportunity Sci-Fi Pulse has given her to further explore space travel, time travel, masked heroes, gothic castles, and good yarns.
