In this edition of DC Round-Up, there are New York Comic-Con Sizzle Reels, the Trickster’s return, and movie news.

There’s a new sizzle reel for Arrow from New York Comic-Con.

There’s also a new sizzle reel for The Flash from New York Comic-Con.

Additionally, Comic Book Resources reported that Mark Hamill will return as the Trickster…

After a photo surfaced Saturday revealing Mark Hamill on the set of “The Flash,” the “Star Wars” icon has confirmed he’ll reprise his role as The Trickster in the second season of the hit series.

“Supposed to keep my return to @CW_TheFlash secret but never refuse a selfie request,” Hamill wrote this morning in response to a fan’s tweet. Does ‘oops’ count as an excuse?”

The photo, which first popped up on reddit, shows Hamill in costume, posing on a prison set with an unidentified “Flash” crew member. In the background you can see a wall covered with child-like drawings that depict The Flash meeting his end in a variety of grisly scenarios, suggesting The Trickster has become obsessed with the Scarlet Speedster since their last meeting.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Seth Grahame-Smith is in negotiations to direct and write The Flash, Warner Bros.’ comic book movie based on the iconic DC Entertainment scarlet speedster super hero. Flash already has a release date – March 3, 2018 – and an actor who portrays the classic hero known as “the fastest man alive” – Ezra Miller. Miller’s Flash, aka. Barry Allen, is due to be introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then more prominently in Justice League Part 1, which will be released in the summer of 2017.

The Tracking Board reported that despite the departure of Guillermo Del Toro, it’s now apparent that the JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK adaptation, otherwise known as DARK UNIVERSE, is moving forward under Scott Rudin. Del Toro is still staying on as a producer, though he’ll no longer direct…

While the film’s plot has generally been kept under lock and key, we’re hearing that it involves a series of ancient tomes stolen by a madman hellbent on the destruction of humanity. When he learns of this, occult detective John Constantine seeks out a group of heroes that specialize in the mystic and arcane in order to save the world. Though the film’s heroes have not yet been announced, save for Constantine, Del Toro had mentioned that Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan The Demon will likely make up the team.
