David Ayer’s edgy superhero movie ‘Suicide Squad’ is apparently getting a lot of interest.
According to pre-release tracking ‘Suicide Squad’ is expected to break $125 Million in its opening weekend. Some box-office analysts believe it could even climb higher but stress it’s still early in the game.
If the tracking proves to be accurate. It would mean that the film will easily top the $94.3 million domestic box office that Marvels ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ managed during the summer of 2014.
The big question is whether it will be able to match the mammoth $132.4 million that ‘Deadpool’ made in its opening weekend. Which is an extraordinary opening for what was an R-Rated movie. And that was despite a February opening, which is a time of year when less people are likely to frequent the cinema.
Suicide Squad centres around an irreverent band of supervillains and is rated PG-13.
The film stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
