After much deliberation and having done his best to avoid being a part of it. Bill Murray has decided that he will make an appearance in the new ‘Ghostbusters’ movie after all.
The actor will make a short appearance in director Paul Feig’s female led ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot, but it is unclear at present whether he will be playing a different role or reprising his role of Dr. Peter Venkman from the original movies.
The actor has been long resistant to appearing in any of the previously reported ‘Ghostbusters’ sequels and reboots that were on the table. “It’s really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful, so wonderful,” he said last year.
Murray is the second original ‘Ghostbusters’ cast member to score a cameo in the reboot. Last month, it was revealed that Dan Aykroyd shot a scene alongside Kristen Wiig.
Feig’s ‘Ghostbusters,’ starring Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Michael K. Williams and Neil Casey will hit theaters on July 15, 2016.
