Cobras

Our good friend Barry Nugent who is best known as the saner half of Geek Syndicate has added a new chapter to his Unseen Shadows Series. The series, which started with his novel Fallen Heroes has been expanding and has just entered the Middle School market with ‘Trail of the Cursed Cobras’.

This latest chapter of the Unseen Shadows Universe is aimed squarely at younger readers. But will also appeal to older readers who are feeling nostalgic for the 1980s. As the story is set in the 80s and revolves around a group of kids who take an ill-advised shortcut. As one wrong turn leads to another. The kids find themselves in a world of danger as they happen on a mystery involving a missing school teacher.

The story sees the kids traverse across London and engage with mythical monsters while uncovering an age-old conspiracy that goes beyond Government.

Official Synopsis Below:

An ill advised short cut pulls twelve year olds Ada Amaya, Bobby Gibson and their friends into a mystery involving a missing school teacher, who is more than he seems, and an antique puzzle box with a terrible purpose.

As the children race across London to solve the mystery they must battle ancient death traps, shadowy government agencies, truant officers and monsters born of shadow and nightmare.

It’s the end of the world versus five kids from a North London comprehensive school.

The odds are even….
