Fans of the hit CW series ‘Vampire Diaries’ will be pleased to learn that Annie Wersching is making a return to Mystic Falls as Lily Salvatore.
According to The Wrap Lily Salvatore is to become a recurring character on the series.
Lily has caused trouble for her sons Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the past by aligning with a dangerous group of heretic vampires.
In her interview with Digital Spy earlier this year. Wersching said that Lily was the only Vampire that could see through the deceptive nature of Demon’s, which makes her both and interesting and dangerous character to have in the mix.
The CW series is undergoing a major shake-up for season seven, following the departures of Steven R McQueen, Nina Dobrev and Michael Trevino.
The Vampire Diaries returns for its seventh season this fall on The CW.
