‘Game Of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams is to guest star alongside Rufus Hound in a two-part episode of the BBC’s hit science fiction series ‘Doctor Who’.
The actress best known as Arya Stark will “raise hell” alongside Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman in The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived
“It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing,” says showrunner Steven Moffat, “but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”
What has been revealed thanks to Radio Times is the fact that she will be appearing in both episodes of the story, which is written by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat, and The Woman Who Lived by Catherine Tregenna. There’s no word yet on whether Williams is the girl/woman in question.
“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who,” said Williams, as you might expect. “It’s such a big and important part of British culture.”
Comedian Rufus Hound (Celebrity Juice and Cucumber), is also lined up for the adventure but, we understand, may not turn up until a little way into the story.
