Synopsis: In The Big Rig Job. The team infiltrates a trucking company to stop a pair of siblings from stealing their father’s company and forcing his employees into indentured servitude.

The Story

When a driver from a trucking company approaches the team in regards to helping get his Rig back. The team finds themselves exposing a brother and sister that have been running the company into the ground in order to try and sell the company off. But when the team recognise that one of the two siblings is obsessed with their social media presence. They find a means by which to expose them to the authorities.

The Acting

Gina Bellman puts in a great shift as the team’s leader Sophie who gets to the heart of the trucking company by befriending the company’s dispatcher who winds up helping the team in their efforts to expose the brother and sister that have taken over. I loved the scene when Sophie pretty much reveals herself to the lady that is looking to try and run the trucking company the way it should be.

Noah Wyle and Beth Riesgraf make for a fun comedy double act as Harry and Parker pose as the hosts of a reality TV show in order to expose the crooked goings on at the company while focusing on one of the sibling’s interests in improving her image.

Christian Kane gets lots of action beats to perform which includes an interesting if a somewhat short fight with a crowbar and a daring rescue as he leaps from one moving vehicle to another. Kane also gets to show us Elliot’s crafty side as he makes a mess of driving a forklift.

Overall

The Big Rig Job while not the most original of storylines. It gets the job done and executes the story beats really well. Obviously, there is a bit of a Christmas theme threaded through the storyline. The two siblings that owned the company were very scrooge-like in the sense of them being extremely vain and greedy.

Overall. A fun episode that provides a little Christmas cheer without going over the top with it.
