“He-Man Lord of Eternia” celebrates the iconic figure of He-Man! This May The Verse Be With You was written with the 1980s He-Man in mind. But that version is very different, these days. This week, SciFiPulse published our review of Masters of the Universe – Revelation. For many older readers the action figures were as iconic as the original cartoon, and in many ways just as exciting, too!
He-Man Lord of Eternia
From Grayskull’s sword He-Man draws his great strength,
turning from Adam to a mighty man,
beating Skeletor eighth time, ninth time, tenth,
doing things that only He-Man can
And soon Cringer is also turned mighty,
as battle cat he leaps to the rescue,
warding off bravely any enemy
He-Man’s loyal friend fights so brave and true
And then that laugh, that we all love and know:
Skeletor’s silly voice tells us the plan
once more our hero faces his old foe,
and we see him prevail as He-Man
I HAVE THE POWER, He-Man screams so loud,
and in so doing Eternia proud

One thing the new series lacked was Skeletor’s iconic laugh, mentioned in this poem! As cheesy as it was it did make for arguably the best bit of the show. And, of course there was the live-action movie starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. We did a retro-review of that movie. There’s also allegedly ongoing plans to make an up to date live-action version. See you next week, readers!
