The last couple of days of Comic-Con@Home gave genre fans a few decent panels and discussions about genre entertainment in general.
Constantine Retrospective Panel
Fans of the 2004 movie adaptation of Constantine were well served by this year’s event with a special panel in which Keanu Reeves is joined by director Francis Lawrence, and producer Akiva Goldsman to look back at the movie. The discussion, which was hosted by Collider’s editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub talks about the early origins of the movie and brings up a lot of fun and interesting stuff.
‘His Dark Materials Season 2’ Trailer and Panel
Hosted by acclaimed Journalist Stacey Wilson Hunt this gave fans a sneak peek at the season two trailer for ‘His Dark Materials’, which was one of the best shows to come out last year. The discussion features contributions from executive producers Jane Tranter and Jack Thorne, as well as cast members Dafne Keen (Lyra), Ruth Wilson (Mrs. Coulter), Ariyon Bakare (Lord Boreal), Amir Wilson (Will Parry), Andrew Scott (John Parry), and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Lee Scoresby). The discussion had a bit of a deep dive into the characters and discussed where things might go in the second season.
Bill & Ted Face The Music Panel
Fans of Bill & Ted have been waiting nearly 30 years for a third film in the series and thankfully it is just around the corner and will be available to stream in the US at the same time as it hits cinemas. Hosting the Panel for the third movie in the series was life long fanboy Kevin Smith, who admits that he used Bill & Ted as one of his inspirations for the Jay and Silent Bob movies. Joining Smith were Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, William Sadler, director Dean Parisot alongside writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson.
There were loads more panels and things that happened during Comic-Con@Home and all of it is available to watch at their youtube channel.
