Synopsis: Oliver and Felicity are disappointed after they learn that William is hiding something from them. Wanting to focus on his family, Oliver steps back from his Green Arrow duties and lets the team take over tracking down a serial killer. However, when the team becomes targets for the killer, things take a bloody turn.
Review: When the team starts to receive threatening messages from an unknown source they insist on keeping Oliver out of it.
The Story
With Oliver taking a backseat from his duties as Green Arrow. The rest of the team pick up the slack for him, but things get rather difficult when every single member is sent threatening messages from a killer they have been tracking.
Added to all of this Oliver’s son William is not being the most forthcoming with the truth about why he was kicked out of school, which forces Oliver and Felicity to make some very difficult decisions regarding his future.
The Acting
Some pretty strong acting this week in what is little more than a placeholder episode. The best performance for me came from Brendan Fletcher who did a hell of a lot with the least amount of screen time in his role as Stanley Dover.
Overall
This episode has to go down as the least compelling of the entire season. It is little more than a placeholder, which has very, very little to do with the overall series arc and only serves to get Oliver’s son out of the way so things can move forward.
The only relevant story points this episode were Curtis finally making the decision to leave Argus and of course the flashforward revelation that Felicity has a daughter, who apparently is not a fan of vigilantes or her late mothers work with Green Arrow.
Aside from that. Very little actually happened. In truth, this episode was a bit of a hard slog to sit through.
