Synopsis: Robert uses one of his grandfathers potions to stave off his alter ego, who he is desperate to keep secret from Lilly, and also discovers his grandmother may still be alive.
Review: The plot thickens and moves on a little from last week.
Robert who is now being helped by his grandfathers former footman Garson is fighting to keep his Hyde at bay so he can focus on trying to replicate the pills that his stepfather had been giving him.
Meanwhile Robert’s half brother Ravi is doing is best to evade authorities while trying to travel to London in order to hook up with his brother and try and help, but he is being chased constantly by Captain Dance’s agents.
Back in London the top secret monster hunting wing of the UK government has hit on the chemical that can be used to put down monsters permanently. It happens to be the same chemical, which is used as the basis for Doctor Jekyll’s potions.
Robert by the close of this episode learns that his grandmother is still alive and races into the countryside to find her, but when he arrives he runs into trouble from some agents of Captain Dance who are set on killing her.
Quite a lot happened in this episode, which pretty much addressed my complaints about the previous episodes with regards to the pacing, but its somewhat weird that we are nearly halfway through this series and know very little about Captain Dance’s origins and why he is so determined to stop Robert from learning the truth about his family.
Tom Bateman puts in a solid performance as both Jekyll and Hyde and anything in between, but Donald Sumpter as Garson is particularly good value in this episode.
Special mention should go to Ruby Bentall as Hils or Hilly who is so ridiculously gung-ho and up for anything its hilarious to watch.

- Better pacing this week
- I feel we should know a bit more about Captain Dance by now
- Story8.5
- Acting9.5
