Former ‘Buffy’ actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has ended months of speculation by revealing her new role in the animated ‘Star Wars: Rebels’.
Gellar will play the cunning Imperial Inquisitor named Seventh Sister.
“I may be number seven,” she says in a video that debuted late last week on BuzzFeed, “but I’m pretty much number one.”
It was announced in March that Gellar had been cast in a recurring role on Disney XD’s animated series, joining her husband Freddie Prinze Jr., who voices the Jedi Kanan. However, no details had been revealed until now.
“My character believes that Asohka is back, and she’s trying to track down Asohka,” the actress says, “as well as the Rebels.” BuzzFeed adds that the Seventh Sister has an impressive arsenal to aid her in the pursuit, including Mimic Droids, which can imitate anyone.
