Kyle MacLachlan who is perhaps best remembered for his role of Special Agent Dale Cooper in ‘Twin Peaks,’ but more recently has been a regular on NBC’s ‘Believe’ has snagged himself a pretty awesome role in the new season of of Marvels ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D’.
The actor has been cast as Skye’s father on the series, which will give us a lot more insight about her character as the series moves forward.
According to the original Entertainment Weekly report it is not know how often he will appear throughout the shows second season, but the identity of Skye’s parent’s was a recurring plotline during most of the ABC drama’s first season, climaxing in one of the season finale’s cliffhangers when Raina gave an unseen man a photo of Skye saying that she’d found his daughter.
It be interesting to see how this develops and find out what side of the S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra fence Skye’s father is on.
