Captain America #25 is written by Rick Remender and penciled by both Carlos Pacheco and Stuart Immonen and this is a pivotal issue in the mythos of Captain America as Steve Rogers passes on the mantle of Captain America to none other than The Falcon, a.k.a Sam Wilson.
This issue sees the end of the current story arc with Arnim Zola, as the deadly menacing foe who succeeds in stripping Steve Rogers of the miraculous super soldier serum coursing through his 90 plus year old veins. Likewise, Rogers has been reunited with his Dimension Z son, Ian and his longtime lover Sharon Carter, while also losing his new found ally, Jet Black, to Zola, who is her father.
The art is quite frankly very nice and the most spectacular part of the book is not only seeing Steve Rogers passing on the mantle of Captain America to his longtime ally, partner and friend Steve Wilson, but also getting to see The Falcon dressed as Captain America with wings. This is a whole new chapter in the life of Captain America and I look forward to seeing what new heights Sam Wilson will take the mantle of Captain America to! Excelsior!!!
