So, as a Star Trek fan, given the choice, what would you choose? Star Trek: Legacy, which would continue from where Picard Season 3 left off, or perhaps pick up a few years later? Or would you rather see some long-overdue closure brought to Jonathan Archer’s story through Mike Sussman’s proposed Star Trek: United?
That is the question Ian Cullen and Marx Pyle ponder in the latest discussion video on the SciFiPulse Now YouTube channel.
What began as Ian wanting to discuss Star Trek: United quickly evolved into a friendly debate, with both Ian and Marx highlighting why either series could be a worthwhile addition to the franchise.
Marx, who has never been a fan of Star Trek: Enterprise, would prefer Legacy, arguing that Star Trek should continue moving forward in the timeline. Ian, who would be happy to see either series produced, feels that Star Trek: United could help build a bridge between different generations of fans and potentially bring back some viewers who drifted away from the franchise during the modern era.
So who is right?
