‘Doctor’s Orders’ celebrates the wonderful character of Wilfred Mott (Bernard Cribbins), from Doctor Who. Sadly, as we reported in our obituary and tribute to the much loved actor, he passed away last week. Bernard Cribbins was known for much more than Doctor Who, but it’s his stint as Wilfred Mott that we’re paying tribute to this week . . . We truly hope that May The Verse Be With You has done him proud.
Doctor’s Orders
T.A.R.D.I.S warden
who’s always there;
a soldier’s pain
that Wild can’t share . . .
Donna’s granddad,
but much more;
that strong spirit
and heart so pure
He won’t give up,
that’s in no doubt,
’cause Donna can’t
he watches out
The whole world now
salutes to you,
a brave mighty
hero, it’s true . . .
Always giving
all he has got,
there’s only one
of Wilfred Mott!

Like all fans of Doctor Who, we’re very excited for the upcoming sixtieth anniversary celebrations, later this year. It has been confirmed that the star of ‘Doctor’s Orders’ will play a part! That will only make things even more emotional. It will be truly an epic affair, by the looks of things. The appearance of Wilf will be much anticipated, as he was much loved by fans! We’ll see you all next week, dear readers. Take care!
