ITV have been slowly rolling out various teases for the 21st century reboot of ‘Thunderbirds,’ which is titled ‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ and the latest tease is the above image of the Tracy Brothers.
As fans will know ‘Thunderbirds,’ which was created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson celebrates its 50th anniversary later this year – and during those 50 years it has never been to far away from the public consciousness thanks to repeats of the series on various channels and an attempted live action film a couple of years ago, which ultimately failed to impress the hardcore fans.
Thus far we have only seen the back of five new-look Tracy brothers who perform most of International Rescue’s daring missions, but now the team has been revealed.
The newly rebooted series will begin broadcasting in April and as a casual fans of the shows as a kid and now as an adult I’m cautiously optimistic for the show, which reportedly has been renewed for a second series despite the first having not even aired yet.
Just prior to Christmas ITV also released a small trailer for the series, which we have embedded below for your viewing pleasure.
