Synopsis: In the Lies That Bind Jordan and Jonathan question whether Lois and Clark are telling them the complete story; Natalie tries her best to get Sarah to acknowledge Jordan.
The Story
Having revealed his secret to Lana in the last episode. A rift is created between Clark, Lois, and Lana, which Lois tries to fix. Meanwhile, Clark has figured out a way to stop Ally Allston from merging with any more people, which means destroying her pendant. However, in order to do so requires an immense amount of power, which means that Clark needs to enlist his Kryptonian Brother Tal-Rho.
Elsewhere, Clark’s boys skive off their first day back at school with Natalie to help her finish work on a suit that she has been working on. This little adventure leads them to the caves where they try and obtain some raw XK.
The Acting
Emmanuelle Chriqui puts in a brilliant performance as Lana struggles to come to terms with the fact that her best friends Clark and Lois have been gaslighting her for so long. The scene when Clark reveals his secret to her is pretty powerful. But we also get a strong scene between Lana and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) when Lois tries to rebuild a few bridges.
We also get some fun chemistry this week from Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, and Tayler Buck as Jonathan, Jordan, and Natalie hang out and get wrapped up in a project. There is almost something a little Nancy Drew about these three characters when teamed together.
Overall
A pretty solid episode. I liked the fact that Tal-Rho gets a chance at redemption and that he and Superman get a chance to be just brothers. The sequence where they try to destroy the pendant was pretty strong. As was the eventual intervention from John Henry to help.
Also, I really enjoyed the chemistry between the three teen stars and think that they need to have a show of their own.
