As was recently reported in the Hollywood Reporter, fans of the upcoming and latest addition to the X-Men franchise can expect to see a cameo of sorts by the mutant named Dazzler in X-Men:Apocalypse, which debuts in theaters May 27, 2016 and is directed by Bryan Singer.
The actress who portrays Jean Grey in the much anticipated X-flick Sophie Turner, shared the following on her social media Twitter account accompanied by a photo of Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) holding a Dazzler album, “our favorite singer’s album (pre 1989, of course).”
The album itself is titled ‘Sounds of Light and Fury’, by Dazzler, who is currently a member of one of the many comic book X-teams. Interestingly enough, the album itself is an exact replica of the album cover featured on the comic cover of issue 29 from the 1980’s Dazzler series which was created by Bill Sienkiewicz and designed by Eliot R. Brown.
From a comic fan perspective, it is just these kinds of attention to detail that help to make a Marvel comic universe experience all the more memorable for a fan, even if it is somewhat obscure!
