The mystery surrounding Rachel McAdams character in the forthcoming film ‘Doctor Strange’ has been solved.

According to recent reports coming from Entertainment Weekly the actress is set to play a surgeon who has a bond with Dr Strange both before and after his experience.

“Rachel McAdams plays a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer,”Doctor Strange producer Kevin Feige told the website.

 “She is someone he connects with at the beginning and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity.”
‘Doctor Strange’ executive producer Stephen Broussard added: “Rachel McAdams is sort of [Doctor Strange’s] contemporary in the modern-day New York world, before and after he goes on this crazy journey.

“So, she sees him before, she sees him after. She’s kind of this audience point of view.”

‘Doctor Strange’ stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role and also stars  Chiwetel Ejiofor is Baron Mordo.

Rounding out the films cast are Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.

‘Doctor Strange’ will arrive in UK cinemas on October 28, 2016, and opens in the US on November 4, 2016.
