Zachary Levi To Head Up ‘Heroes Reborn’ Mini Series

“There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them,” Levi told the website

‘Chuck’ star Zachary Levi, who has been keeping busy with various theatre roles as well as well as lending his voice to ‘Robot Chicken’ has just scored himself one of the lead roles in NBC’s ‘Heroes Reborn’ mini series, which is a reboot of the cult favorite ‘Heroes’.

According to TV Line the part that Levi will play is being kept tight under wraps, but it has been revealed that he will be a key player in the 13 part mini series.

“There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them,” Levi told the website. “Chuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world I’ve always wanted to explore.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim [Kring], and the awesome team around him, in bringing this to life,” he adds. “Moreover, to be working with NBC again is such a reward in itself, as my bonds and relationships there are deep.”

As fans will know. Levi is hardly a stranger to the world of superheroes. The actor took on the role of Fendral alongside Chris Hemsworth in the hit 2012 Marvel film ‘Thor: Dark World’, which is a role he will no doubt reprise at some point in the future.

At present the only other confirmed casting for the mini series is Jack Coleman who will reprise his role as Noah Bennett, but other original cast members could make an appearance at some point in the shows production.

“Jack’s the way in, but I think – and I’m not trying to be coy because we just don’t know – you will see several of the old cast popping in to episodes,” NBC president Robert Greenblatt said Friday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

Greenblatt added that more castings will be announced over the next few weeks.
