Star Trek’s Dominic Keating denounces Trump

While performing karaoke on stage with fans, the Trek alumn told the crowd how he felt about Donald Trump for President.

At the recent 50th Anniversary Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas which was sponsored by Creation Entertainment, both fans and celebrities alike participated and celebrated the monumental anniversary of Gene Roddenberry’s vision for a better humanity and future, known throughout the galaxy as Star Trek.

During a Trek themed karaoke party, fans joined two participating celebrities on stage from Star Trek: Enterprise; Conner Trineer and Dominic Keating, for what was an absolutely entertaining rendition of the recently deceased pop star, Prince’s famous song, ‘Purple Rain’.

At the end of the song while everyone on stage was backing up the two Trek celebrities in attendance, Conner Trineer told the crowd, “God Bless you and God Bless America!“, which was of course received with cheers from the gathered crowd. Standing right along side Trineer was his Enterprise co-star, Dominic Keating, who then took to the microphone and told the crowd, “And what ever you do, don’t vote for Donald Trump!”

Perhaps because the crowd was mostly made up of Star Trek fans who are very accommodating and for the most part in tune with the message of inclusion, diversity and open-mindedness inherent in Gene Roddenberry’s vision of a better and brighter future for humanity, the crowd responded to Keating’s denouncement of Donald Trump with a huge roar of cheers and approval.
