The Flash: Andy Mientus returning as Pied Piper

According to Entertainment Weekly, Andy Mientus will reprise his role as the Pied Piper in an upcoming episode of The Flash.

The Smash star made his debut in season 1 as Hartley Rathaway, the arrogant former protégé of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) at S.T.A.R. Labs. Hartley became a metahuman called Pied Piper after losing his hearing when the particle accelerator exploded.

He’ll return in the 17th episode, fittingly titled “Flash Back,” to wreak havoc once again on his former colleagues when The Flash impossibly revisits an earlier timeline.

At this rate, Barry Allen is going to end up experiencing more time travel than the entire crew of Waverider combined.
