Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to reprise their ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ charactors

Simon and Ed will star in the cartoon's Halloween Special later this year.

Perhaps still the funniest genre offering from Edgar Wright’s ‘Cornetto Trilogy’ is the film ‘Shaun of The Dead,’ but it has to be said that last years ‘The World’s End ‘ comes in a close second.

Either way it looks like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are in the same camp as the rest of us in that they love their ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ characters so much that they are making ready to bring them back for a ‘Phineas and Ferb special.’

Pegg confirmed the news that they would be appearing in animated form on Twitter yesterday.

Shaun and Ed will star in the cartoon’s Halloween Special later this year.

Other past guest stars on the Disney show have included Seth MacFarlane and Ben Stiller.

Earlier this week, Pegg confirmed that he is working on a new film with Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright.

Pegg said: “Edgar and I were having a conversation the other day about it, and it has a title and everything. We’re kind of into a creative cycle now.

“We’ve all got different things [going] on and we know we have to get those things done. The coming-together thing is without question on the table and will happen when we can do it.”
