Of Ritual Blood Sacrifice and Student Loans – Press Release

'The Hipster From Hell' explores the depths of student debt in a dark satire

For Immediate Release

Student loan debt is a looming crisis some are comparing to subprime mortgages.  As former students spiral towards insurmountable amounts of debt heaped on by compound interest penalties, how far will they go to clean the slate?  Is blood sacrifice a step too far or just a mean to an ends.

In The Hipster From Hell, the August installment of The Mister Lewis Incidents finds our “physics consultant” hero retained by a student loan company to get to the bottom of why their staff is disappearing and the delinquent borrowers they’ve had contact with are suddenly paying off their loans in lump sums.

“Student loan debt can be a real life horror,” says author Todd Allen. “It only takes a bit of extrapolation to translate the desperation it can cause into a cautionary tale of dark forces inserting themselves into the position of savior.  Dark times call for dark humor.”

The Hipster From Hell is the fifth story in The Mister Lewis Incidents.

About The Hipster From Hell

“Consolidated Student Solutions has a problem. Their customer service reps are disappearing. Consolidated Student Solutions has a bigger problem: the unemployed folks behind on their loans are paying off the loans in full after talking to those customer service reps. Lost employees are one things, but lost profits are quite another. Can student loans be paid off in blood by making sacrifices at the altar of irony? Mister Lewis is called in to investigate whether the student loan industry is under siege by The Hipster From Hell.”

The Hipster From Hell is available on Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook and Kobo or direct from the publisher.
