What better way than “Queen of Clowns” to celebrate the return of Harley Quinn to the big screen, as depicted by Margot Robbie? Furthermore, if you’ve seen The Suicide Squad (2021) then check out our review of the awesome movie. It’s still in cinemas now, and should be for a few weeks yet. So, you’ve time yet. It’s not one you want to miss dear readers! It’s full of fun and a crazy adventure . . .
Queen of Clowns
The clue is in her name: she’s Queen of Clowns
But she’s not funny all the time, her life’s
a tragi-comic one of ups and downs
If you laugh at her then you better check
that that’s what Harley wanted you to do,
or you’ll be guaranteed to hit the deck
You might get hammered by her, or just shot
Though, your death may also be inventive
by creative quick-kill skills Harley’s got
It might come from her ways with gymnastics,
allowing for some acrobatic fun
whilst taking people down and getting kicks
Whoever crosses her in their blood drowns,
without a single tear shed for them:

The idea of May The Verse Be With You is to put much-loved characters into fun poems. Surely, there can’t be many people who would disagree that Harley Quinn is very much a super-fun creation! But there’s also a seriously dark side to her, too. And that has been hopefully captured here, too. Additionally, our resident artist has superbly portrayed the chosen subject! See you all next week!
