Captain Janeway’s way was often the only way! She had to be firm, with a super tough mission ahead of her. But she did get the crew home, in the end. This tribute to her also pays homage to the fantastic Kate Mulgrew, without which she wouldn’t have had her to enjoy. She grew into the role, over the the show’s seven seasons, and in the process she endeared herself to countless Star Trek fans.
The crew felt lost, all doomed to roam;
she promised that she’d get them home
And so, with coffee hot and black,
she kept her and the ship on track . . .
The ship came under constant threat;
fights ended with her foes’ regret!
No questions, once she’s made her choice:
that stern and strong decisive voice
She beat The Borg (her and the crew)
and Species 8472!
She’s fair, but won’t be second guessed;
she’ll let you know that she knows best . . .
If you cross her, she’ll make you pay:
don’t question Captain Janeway’s way!
