In terms of achievements, Clint Barton is indeed a high flyer! For example, whilst he isn’t super-powered, “Hawkeye” holds his own against much stronger opposition. His many escapades in comics, over the years, have proved that. We’ve also seen it in his multiple MCU appearances. You can read about how much we like the Jeremy Renner version in our review of DisneyPlus’ Hawkeye series . . .
Clint Barton always hits the spot,
with great archery skills he’s got
His trick arrows and bows and eyes
are all he has against bad guys!
But he also fights the good fight
with more than just his perfect sight
Though he is just a mortal man;
if anyone can win, he can
He fights alongside Thor, the god,
and yet, it never does seem odd
He fights with endless bravery
and backs down to no enemy
What truly sets Hawkeye apart —
his greatest strength — his human heart!

May the Verse Be With You is very much aware Kate Bishop is also Hawkeye. But this week’s poem goes out to Clint Barton — specifically, the MCU version. We feel Disney is doing a pretty decent job with Marvel projects, but not everyone does. Let’s hope our favourite high flyer gets a second season (as yet unconfirmed). Have a marvel – lous week, dear readers. See you next Friday!
