Lots of Marvel news coming from the New York Comic Con. Marvel Television announced that Dominic Cooper (‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’) and Bridget Regan (‘John Wick,’ ‘Jane the Virgin’) will return for season two of ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’.
Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) has moved to Los Angeles to open his own film studio and has brought Jarvis (James D’Arcy)with him to help manage his Hollywood estate.
“Dominic has been a fantastic addition to the cast,” said Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb. “Bringing a character like Howard Stark to Hollywood just opens up so many fun opportunities for the series this season.”
Also, Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) will be back to face off with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) once more.
“Dottie is a true match for Peggy and Bridget plays this duplicitous role so compellingly,” said Loeb.
Four new cast members were also announced at the con. Wynn Everett, Lotte Verbeek, Currie Graham and Reggie Austin.
Wynn Everett (‘The Newsroom,’) will play Whitney Frost, a Hollywood actress and brilliant inventor. In the comics, Whitney Frost first appeared in TALES OF SUSPENSE #98 in 1968 before becoming Madame Masque a year later in IRON MAN (1968) #17.
Lotte Verbeek (‘Outlander’) joins the series as the free-spirited wife of Edwin Jarvis, Ana Jarvis, who immediately befriends Peggy and helps her to adjust to life in Los Angeles.
‘Pompeii’ and ‘Hitchcock’ actor Currie Graham will play Calvin Chadwick, a high-powered businessman and husband of Hollywood actress Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett).
Reggie Austin (‘Life Unexpected’) will star as Jason Wilkes, a quirky yet charismatic scientist who instantly charms Peggy.
