All the films in the Jurassic World trilogy have cleaned up at the box office, highlighting how popular the series is. Now that the rebooted franchise has temporarily wrapped after the release of Dominion, there’s a lot of uncertainty about where the films will head next.

Luckily, there are plenty of games available to appeal to fans of the series. Indeed, there are offerings on all platforms, from mobile to console. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the most detailed of all of them, but is it a satisfying installment for lovers of the franchise?

Jurassic World Spawned Numerous Games

Part of the reason why each of the Jurassic World movies raked in more than $1 billion was thanks to the incredible marketing of the films. The franchise can be found in every corner of the entertainment industry, meaning that it is almost impossible for people to not hear about it. Aside from console games, there are popular offerings on mobile and online casinos.

Jurassic World Alive is one of the best ways to experience the themes from the movies. The augmented reality game puts players face to face with dinosaurs in their everyday surroundings. This was the premise of Dominion, so the mobile title acted as an excellent marketing tool for the final installment of the trilogy.

Jurassic World has also had a lot of representation in the online casino market, which is a thriving spot for attracting attention. The Jurassic World slot is one of the top listed games at Davos Casino online, and it’s in its own section among other movie-related slots like Jumanji and Conan. It’s clear that, aside from consoles, Jurassic World is well-represented across the gaming industry. But how does Evolution stack up as the flagship title based on the films?

Do Console Fans Deserve a Better Entry Than Evolution?

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a simulation that gives players the chance to create and manage their own dinosaur theme parks. It has a vast range of dinosaurs for players to use, with more than 75 species in total. The aim of the game is to develop a flourishing theme park and deal with any problems that may arise. There are various facets to the game, including combat between dinosaurs. This generates a dynamic territory system, which adds an element of strategy.

The good thing about Evolution 2 is the fact that it has improved upon some of the faults of its predecessor. There’s also a lot of downloadable content related to it too, constantly giving players fresh challenges. There’s no doubt that it’s a fun game, and IGN gave it a solid 7/10. However, there’s so much more that could be done with the themes of the pictures. An open-world game in which players had to survive in a world overrun by dinosaurs could be much more exciting.

According to ScreenRant, Universal Pictures did commission a title called Jurassic World Aftermath, which would be more of a survival game. If this comes to fruition, it could give players everything they’ve always dreamed of in a Jurassic World-themed game. Right now, Evolution 2 doesn’t quite cut the mustard.
