Synopsis: STORM finds her way to NEW ORLEANS with DOCTOR VOODOO. The cost of VOODOO’s medical treatment is the loss of STORM’s powers for seven days. STORM seeks refuge with her former teammates, the UNCANNY X-MEN, but it doesn’t turn out to be the relaxing holiday she thought it would be. A secret that aches the heart is born, and it sends STORM into the hands of DOOM.
The Story
Picking up from the last issue, Storm turns to Dr. Voodoo, who successfully cures her illness—though not without a cost. He warns her that Death Sprites will forever surround her due to her heroic path and that her powers will be dormant for seven days as part of the cure.
Seeking rest, Storm visits the X-Men and hones her unarmed combat skills with Logan, growing closer to him over six days. On the seventh day, she’s summoned by Dr. Doom for a parlay on mutant affairs. Anticipating danger, she asks Rogue for costumes and hidden weapons to prepare for the unexpected, hoping to avoid relying on her powers.

Overall
This third issue didn’t do much to push the story forward. I was surprised to see Storm already healed, as I expected the illness to play a more prolonged role in the narrative. With that resolved so quickly, my investment in the story has waned. The issue felt like the writer was stalling, waiting for the big moment with Doom in the next chapter.
Overall, it was an okay issue—not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Hopefully, issue four delivers something more impactful.
