MARKED FOR DEATH! THE BLACK SUN SYNDICATE wants BOBA FETT'S HEAD!
HUNTERS

Synopsis: BOBA FETT: MARKED FOR DEATH! THE BLACK SUN SYNDICATE wants BOBA FETT’S HEAD! But the new team of BOUNTY HUNTERS has something to say about that! Featuring DURGE, BOSSK, 4-LOM, ZUCKUSS, DEATHSTICK, VALANCE, KHEL and T’ONGA!

The Story

Picking up from where the last issue left off. T’onga has put together a new team of Bounty Hunters in order to try and find a Cyborg Expert that can fix Valance’s memory loss. But in order to get the location of the fixer. T’onga and her team must help Bobba Fett take on a group of Black Sun Heavies who are based on a mining colony. To say that T’onga’s crew isn’t too enthusiastic about this job would be an understatement. The plan is to take Boba Fett to the Black Sun as their prisoner.

The Artwork

Lan Medina does some fantastic artwork for this issue. We get lots of action beats and some fun moments. The panel where Boba Fett meets up with the Black Sun leader opens things up for a huge battle as we see Fett get electrocuted.

This issue has a number of nice visuals. One of which is when we see Boba Fett’s ship Slave 1 approaching the planet where the Black Sun leader is located. We also get some great flashback images of a prior mission that Fett and Valance worked on together when an attempt was made to rescue Han Solo.

Overall

Ethan Sacks continues to spin this story in which we see T’onga and her crew risk it all to try and help Valance. I really liked the dialogue between Boba Fett and Valance when Fett asks Valance if he remembers him. The flashback sequence that follows up on that is beautifully illustrated and has a real cinematic quality to it.

Overall. I continue to look forward to this more grounded part of the Star Wars universe. And I look forward to seeing where this story finishes up in next month’s issue.
