Synopsis: ALL OUT WAR ON THE STREETS OF CORELLIA! Besieged by an entire syndicate of killers, T’ONGA, BOSSK, TASU LEECH, ZUCKUSS, 4LOM and LOSHA have no choice but to fight their way out through the streets. But will all of the crew make it out of CORONET CITY alive? Meanwhile, DENGAR strikes…and the Underworld may never be the same!
The Story
Picking up from where the last issue left off. T’onga and her crew must fight an all out war to have any chance of getting their hostage to their meeting point. Elsewhere at an undisclosed location Qi’ra and the Crimson Dawn have captured Cadeliah, who is the only person alive that can unite two warring crime syndicates. Elsewhere Dengar zeros in on his latest job.
The Artwork
It is all out war in this issue and Paolo Villanelli does a brilliant job of illustrating all the chaos that ensues. Villanelli has a cinematic quality to his work that keeps the action moving nicely. So it feels like you are reading a movie.
I loved the set of panels where Dengar blasts his way into The Mourner’s Wail Safe House. Specifically, the splash panel of him standing in the doorway asking if anyone is left alive.
I also loved the series of panels where Cadeliah attempts to attack Lady Qi’ra, but is subdued and talked down from such actions.
Overall
The Star Wars: Bounty Hunters part of this latest Crimson Dawn story from Ethan Sacks continues to reward loyal readers. Although I am admittedly missing Valance and am beginning to wonder if he will play some role in the story given that he is now reluctantly back with The Empire.
Overall though. A fun story with some brilliant character moments and great action beats. This is Star Wars comics at their best.
