Synopsis: LANDO LOST! – A DARK DROIDS TIE-IN! With the final mission to rescue LOBOT from the terrors of THE SCOURGE underway, galactic ne’er-do-well LANDO CALRISSIAN must finally reckon with the sins of his past. Will he be the SCOUNDREL he’s always been or the HERO he could be?

The Story

Lando, Leia, Luke, and Chewbacca have landed on Epikonia and are in a fight for their lives against an army of droids. Their plans to rescue Lobot look like they have hit a snag when they suddenly find themselves confronted by a bunch of miniature droids who seem to be on a mission to try and assimilate them. The droids want to create an army of cyborgs and need human beings to meet this goal. Thankfully for our team, they get saved at the last minute by a mysterious liberator who takes out all the droids.

Now free and able to save Lobot. Leia and Luke choose to stay back and lend aid to the humanoid victims of the droids while Lando and Chewie take Lobot back to the Falcon. With Lobot’s life in the balance. Lando may have to fess up to a series of crimes to ensure his friend’s future.

The Artwork

Madibek Musabekov does a great job on this issue. We get some great art depicting the battle between Luke, Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca who are vastly outnumbered by droids who are on a mission to capture and assimilate all organics. The closing image perfectly sets things up for the next issue, which begins a new story arc for the ongoing Star Wars comic.

Overall

This latest story arc, which has spanned across the various Star Wars comics has been a lot of fun. And Lando’s particular part in this story has allowed for some interesting character development for the character that we’d never have gotten to see otherwise. The friendship between Lobot and Lando has been so well written and has been a highlight of this story arc.
