Synopsis: In this sixth issue of Star Trek. Chaos ensues as the God City sets out on a collision course for Earth! Inside the living city, Captain Sisko and Dr. Crusher face off against the cosmic being wearing the ancient city as armor. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander Data pushes the Theseus and its crew to their limits in trying to keep up with the being zooming across the quadrant. But where do ants stand among giants?

The Story

With Kahless and his God-Killing weapon having provoked the God City of T’Kon in the previous issues. It is now down to Captain Sisko and his crew to pick up the pieces and try to reason with a very ticked-off God City. While Dr. Crusher, Jake and Captain Sisko hang onto the God City, which is traveling at Warp to Earth. Commander Data must push Theseus and her crew to their limits in order to keep up with the T’Kon. Indeed this involves Data having to talk Mr. Scott into activating the ship’s experimental Proto Warp Drive.

Meanwhile, Captain Sisko zones out into his Emmisarry role as he tries to reason with T’Kon.

The Artwork

Ramon Rosanas pulls off some really solid art in this issue. I really loved the panel on the final few pages as we see a really cosmic-looking color wash used to represent the environment of T’Kon City while the God is communicating with The Sisko. It’s a real thing of beauty.

Overall

This issue does a fairly decent job of continuing this outlandish and metaphysical story in which Sisko gets to go where absolutely no one has gone before as he talks a God down from wiping out the Earth. Added to this we get a nice reference to the first issue of Star Trek: Defiant as Sisko looks to recruit someone to take over from Worf as his second in command. For now the story pauses as the Theseus returns home to DS9. But the hunt to capture Kahless will most likely continue in future issues.
